Try this simple recipe to preserve the flavor of fresh strawberries during the season in the form of a vibrant jam that will transform your home breakfast table into a true fruity heaven.

Ingredients
For strawberry jam:

3.8 kg of cleaned strawberries (without stems)

2 kg granulated sugar

2 teaspoons citric acid

Preparation procedure

Maceration of strawberries Wash the strawberries well, remove the stems and let them drain in a colander. Put them in a large pot, cover with sugar and let them sit for 1-2 hours to release their juice.
Starting cooking Once the sugar starts to dissolve and a fruit syrup is formed, add the citric acid and place the pot over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the jam from sticking.
Removing the foam Foam forms during boiling. Collect this with a slotted spoon or ladle to ensure that the resulting jam is clear.

Boiling to a thick consistency Boil for at least 1 hour until the jam has a glossy consistency resembling liquid honey. To check, take a drop on a spoon – if a drop sticks between your fingers, the jam is ready.
