4. First Trick
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl.
Cover it with a clean kitchen towel or cling film, then let it rest in a draft-free place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
The rising time may vary depending on the temperature of the room.
5. Shape the buns
When the dough has risen enough, gently squeeze it to remove excess air.
Divide it into 12 similar-sized portions, then shape each piece into a ball.
Place the balls on a baking sheet, leaving enough space between them so that they can rise during the second rise.
6. Second Trick
Cover the buns with a clean kitchen towel and let them rest for about 30 minutes.
They should become visibly more swollen and light.
7. Bake
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
Place the buns in the oven and bake them for about 15 to 20 minutes, until nicely golden on top.
Watch for cooking towards the end, as each oven may bake slightly differently.
8. Let cool and serve
Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
Enjoy them while still slightly warm with butter, jam, honey or accompany them with your favorite dish.
