Let the butter soften.
Make sure the butter is soft (room temperature) so it can be easily mixed. Tip: cut it into cubes to soften it faster.

Prepare the garlic:
Chop the garlic very finely or use a garlic press. For extra flavor, briefly crush the chopped garlic with the side of a knife with salt – this will give you a smoother, more intense flavor without the pungent aftertaste.

Mix the herbs with the butter.
Place the butter in a bowl and mix well with the garlic and herbs. Mix well with a fork or a food processor on low. Taste and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add a little extra flavor? Why not!
For a spicier flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese or for a slightly sweeter flavor, add finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Want a fresher touch? Grate a little lemon zest on top.

Let set (or serve immediately).
You can use the spiced butter right away or store it in the refrigerator for a firmer texture. Want to serve it even more elegantly? Wrap the mixture in parchment paper or foil
