PINK SWEET TAMALES WITH CREAM CHEESE – Packed with flavor

Ingredients:
• 500 g corn masa for tamales
• 200 g butter or vegetable shortening, at room temperature
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• ¾ to 1 cup milk (approximately)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Pink or red food coloring, to taste
• 250 g cold cream cheese
• ½ cup raisins (optional)
• 20 to 24 dried corn husks
• Sufficient water for steaming.
