No-bake strawberry treat in a glass with cottage cheese and sponge cakes: A refreshing summer dessert in 10 minutes

Tip:  Our tried and tested trick for extra-fast moistness of sponge cakes:  If you are in a hurry and want to serve the dessert almost immediately, don’t leave the sponge cakes out. Prepare a little lukewarm milk with a drop of vanilla in a mug (or for the grown-up version, strong black coffee with a teaspoon of rum) and  dip each sponge cake lightly, for a second, in this bath before placing it in the glass . The sponge cakes will absorb the internal moisture immediately, the dessert will become tender within ten minutes and will be perfectly juicy.

3) Elegant layering in glasses

We will prepare four clean, transparent glasses (ideally

are wider whiskey glasses or dessert cups, in which layers they will stand out beautifully). Place a laminate of children’s sponge cakes at the very bottom of each glass. Layer a spoonful of chopped fresh strawberries on top of the sponge cakes and cover everything with a rich layer of vanilla curd. Repeat this process (sponges, strawberries, cream) until the glasses are filled to the very brim. The top white layer should always be a smooth cream.

4) Final decoration and flash cooling

Decorate the surface of each filled glass with the strawberry slices that we have set aside and place a sprig of fresh green mint or lemon balm on top for a great color contrast. Place the finished glasses on a tray, cover with cling film and  place in the fridge for at least 30 to 60 minutes . During this time, all the flavors will blend, the sponge cakes will soften and the dessert will reach the right refreshing temperature.

5) Serving

Take the perfectly chilled unbaked strawberry treat out of the fridge and serve with a long dessert spoon. This cup is absolutely sensational on hot summer days – the milky softness

vanilla curd, a crunchy sponge cake base and the strong, juicy taste of fresh strawberries create a combination that disappears from the glasses in a flash. It tastes great as a light afternoon snack or a quick treat for friends.

We wish you a good and perfectly refreshing summer taste!
