Chocolate and Vanilla Cold Dessert: The Taste of Always, No Oven

This cold dessert is the perfect balance between the intensity of cocoa and the softness of vanilla, all in a creamy texture that melts in the mouth.
And best of all: you don’t need a oven!

It is ideal for hot days, birthdays, family reunions or just to give you a sweet taste when you want something special but easy to do.
Ingredients of Chocolate and Vanilla Cold Dessert

Vanilla layer:
500 ml milk
200 ml whipping cream (kid to assemble)
1 sachet of unflavored gelatin (7 g)
1⁄2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Chocolate layer:
500 ml milk
200 ml whipping cream
1 sachet of unflavored gelatin (7 g)
1⁄2 cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of sugar-free cocoa powder
50 g dark chocolate (optional, for more intensity)

To decorate (optional):
Chocolate Scratch
Crushed cookies
Chocolate sparks or colorful chips

1. Vanilla layer
Moisturize the gelatin with 5 tablespoons of cold water and reserve.
In a pot, heat the milk, cream and sugar without boiling.
Add the hydrated gelatin and mix until completely dissolved.
Remove from the heat, add the vanilla and pour into a mold or cups.
Take the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until it stirs.

2. Chocolate layer
Repeat the process: hydrate the gelatin with 5 tablespoons of cold water.
Heat milk, cream, sugar, cocoa, and dark chocolate (if you use it).
Mix well until everything is fully integrated.
Add the hydrated gelatin, dissolve completely and let cool to room temperature.
Pour carefully over the already firm vanilla layer.

3. Cool and decorate
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until completely firm.
Before serving, decorate to taste with crushed cookies, grated chocolate or fresh fruits.
Tips for a Perfect Result
🔹Clean layers:
Always wait for the first layer to be firmly secure and the second layer to be warm (not hot) before pouring. This way you’ll keep them from mixing.

🔹Lighter texture:
If you prefer a more aerated texture, you can beat the mixture with a hand whisk before placing it in the mold.

🔹Special presentation:
Use individual molds, cups, or transparent cups to show the layers. It is usually beautiful!
